How are the "Featured Discussions" selected and changed? At least one of them (the one about Carol Miller being included in the 3rd CD debate) is obsolete since last Tuesday.

"Featured Discussions" is a feature I thought was necessary to expand the text that appeared on the slug lines under the title post on the home page. I, as one of the web site administrators, have since learned it doesn't do much and haven't used it in quite a while. This Ning platform has a lot of, er, features, we don't necessarily need. But I had to play with them first to find that out. I have now featured your post to demonstrate. Doesn't change a thing, does it?

Was wondering what was going on there. If you don't find it useful, why not turn it off? (Maybe Ning doesn't let you do that?)

Probably the best way to learn computer stuff -- you're not a real user (at least on Windoze) if you haven't gotten the blue screen of death at least once. [snicker]
