New Mexico Liberty

Life, Liberty, Politics and Policy in the Land of Enchantment!

I was in Pittsburgh for business and caught some of the RightOnLine conference, the conservative/libertarian counter to the Netroots Nation folderol. I ran into a New Mexico friend of liberty,Gary Wolf, an author and member our New Mexico Liberty community. Gary's blog is linked at the blogroll under AWOLCivilization. He has absolutely the coolest business card I've ever seen: VanGogh's self-portrait, but the genius is weeping. Gary writes, as he describes the genre, "futuristic conservative/libertarian fiction." I think he has that field pretty much to himself. He has also written a TV series entitled "Planet of the Czars" based around a character inspired by Michelle Obama. You can follow the installments on his blog.
Gary said his books were selling well, and the line at his table confirmed that. It also didn't hurt that he was seated next to Michele Malkin, whose "Culture of Corruption" is #1 on the New York Times' best seller list.

I certainly enjoyed The Kicker of St. John's Woods, a social commentary-thriller set in Albuquerque.

The way it ended there's gotta be a sequel...I need to know what happens to Blackstone, Thelonius & Coach.
Thanks, Jim. I enjoyed the conference, and it was fun to meet a fellow New Mexican there. Very refreshing to see that kind of energy on our side. Also, I had never been to Pittsburgh, so that was interesting. Fantastic art museum (the Carnegie) among other attractions.

Frank: I am glad to hear that you liked the book. Several people have asked about a sequel. Not something I planned, but perhaps it is worthy of consideration.
