Reinventing the University

On average, students pay $35,000 for the privilege of being educated at a private nonprofit American college. In December of 2011, indebtedness among college graduates reached an all-time high of one trillion dollars. Obama rejects Keystone XL Pipeline Permit

Upon news today that President Obama would formally reject the Keystone XL pipeline permit, Institute for Energy Research (IER) President Thomas Pyle released the following statement:"Tens of thousands of American jobs died today because of the president's rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline permit. For more than two years, the administration has delayed, hoping to get past 2012 without having to reveal the president's true anti-job, anti-energy agenda. Because of today's announcement,…See More

Thomas Molitor replied to Paul Gessing's discussion 'Santa Fe "Living wage" law reduces employment'
Once again politicians and pundits are calling for increases in the legal minimum wage. Their reasons are familiar. Market wages are supposedly immoral. People need to earn a "living wage." If the minimum wage went up at least to $7, or…

Thomas Molitor replied to Thomas Molitor's discussion 'The EPA connection with MF Global'
If you want to kill off the EPA you got to kill off the New York Times first - which had two editorials today that were anti-Keystone XL Pipeline and anti-fracking. Even worse, there's Paul Krugman.

I visited Santa Fe two weeks ago, and my friend drove me thru Corrales in the morning the Sunday I left, I LOVED it. The morning was beautiful, many gold colored leaves against the backdrop of the mountains. We stopped at the little farmer's market.
